Get Closer to Nature
Introducing our latest collaboration with incredible artist, Rachel Pohl, showcasing her creative interpretation of the forest floor in a reimagined camouflage pattern.

About Rachel
Rachel Pohl is an artist and mountain athlete from Montana. Her colorful oil and acrylic landscapes from all over the West capture how these places feel, not just how they look. Rachel grew up in a household that valued time spent outdoors, which informs her lifestyle and her work today. This "Nature Camo" pattern Rachel created for our shirts highlights some of the small, beautiful organisms one can find adventuring in the Western US. From morel and chanterelle mushrooms to snail shells, owl feathers, bracken ferns, juniper and pine sprigs, Rachel hopes to inspire us to slow down and notice the little things that make ecosystems special, not just the big vistas, on our travels and wanderings. Through all of her work and writing, Rachel encourages others to appreciate and protect the wild places we all love, and to live boldly and creatively on our own terms. "I am so excited to collaborate again with Pladra to bring my art to their amazing, ethically crafted flannels. We decided to create a plaid that feels timeless, but with some unexpected twists. If you're unfamiliar with the fit of Pladra flannels, get ready to never look back. These look as good as they feel and this one in particular tells a story about slowing down to notice the little things on your hikes and adventures. I love this pattern and how it reminds me of old naturalist books, looking for mushrooms in the forest, and finding hidden treasures like snail shells as a child. This print really is all about slowing down for long enough to appreciate what's right in front of us, but that many overlook."

"I wanted to collaborate on a flannel that would remind you of your favorite days in the mountains, no matter if you're sitting around the campfire, hiking in the sun, or out to dinner in the city. This early green goes perfectly with the "Nature Camo" print that features mushrooms, feathers, ferns and foliage you can only find in the woods when you're really looking. The fit of this flannel is so flattering and the fabric is incredibly soft, and I've been wearing mine nonstop for weeks. Besides being luxuriously soft and durable, our 100% cotton, premium, Portuguese flannel is milled using environmentally safe and sustainable practices. We use BCI (Better Cotton Initiative) certified fabric to ensure fair wages, less water usage and healthy farming communities.
Functional Beauty
The goal of this collaboration was to create styles that were not only beautiful, but functional. Rachel is an outdoor athlete and relies on her clothing to be comfortable and dependable. We worked together to include features like back shoulder gussets for ease of movement and side hand pockets for versatility.
