Fabric: 100% cotton midweight double brushed Portuguese flannel - 196g/m2 / 7oz

The perfect blend of strength and softness, we developed our signature classic flannel to be the fabric that takes you everywhere. Made from durable 2-ply yarns, we double brush both sides of the fabric for superior softness and warmth. At 7 oz, it is the perfect flannel weight to keep you warm when you need it without overheating.

Care:  We recommend machine washing in cold water with like colors on a gentle cycle. Do not bleach. Hang dry or tumble dry low.

The Gunnison flannel was built to perform outdoors while being versatile for everyday wear. Unlike traditional flannels that have a boxy fit, the Gunnison is a modern fitting silhouette featuring a slightly tapered body with standard chest and sleeve measurements. The result is a cut that allows enough movement for outdoor use, but looks tailored when heading out on the town. Wear it buttoned up or open as a light jacket, the Leon is truly a jack of all trades. 

(We take into account that 100% cotton can shrink, so we add a small amount of shrinkage into each pattern. This means your shirt may fit a tad long out of the box. We recommend washing cold and hang drying if no shrinkage is wanted)

Our Klamath Green colorway in our our USA made Gunnison Flannel Shirt collection is part of our special collaboration with CalTrout, one of our favorite organizations.  CalTrout is an incredible group that is dedicated to protecting California's unique wild fisheries.  They have a huge impact on so many people, from tribal communities whose ways of life revolve around river systems, to an agriculture industry that feeds the entire world, to anyone across California who depends on healthy and sustainable watersheds. 


For this shirt, we partnered with artist Paul Waters, who created and designed this incredible Steelhead Trout artwork, which is lines our cuffs, back yoke, and collar.  The white/steely plaid framework is a nod to fresh chrome steelhead. The three lines of teal green represent fish, water, people; and the color and clarity that is sought after with such high regard by anglers during the stormy winter months. And finally, the lighter olive thread color is for the pale glow of reflected winter sunlight on the water surface.


Like all of our other Gunnison Flannels, we use the most premium 2-ply cotton flannel from Portugal that is durably woven but incredibly soft and comfortable.  The Gunnison Shirt was built for the outdoors, but it is so versatile that you will have a hard time not wearing it on a daily basis.   It is truly your go-to flannel, and this limited edition colorway is a one-of-a-kind shirt that you don't want to pass up.

Beyond Tough Construction

The life of a garment is largely
determined by the quality of the construction. That’s why we use an interlocking fell stitch on all side seams and triple-needle stitching on shoulder seams to maximize garment durability. Flat fell stitching on the inside eliminates any chance for irritation. Bottom line: a Pladra is made to last and to hand down through the generations.
